Welcome to Brother Tip Tattoo & Art. By using our website, purchasing a tattoo voucher, submitting a booking enquiry, or attending an appointment, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

Please read these carefully before booking with us.

1. ABOUT US

Brother Tip Tattoo & Art is a private appointment-only tattoo studio based in Christchurch, New Zealand.

Our studio operates through a team of independent artists working under the Brother Tip Tattoo & Art platform.

2. AGE REQUIREMENTS

Clients must be 18 years or older to receive tattoo services independently.

Clients aged 16 or 17 years old may be tattooed only with the consent and physical presence of a parent or legal guardian at the appointment.

Valid photo identification may be required for both the client and their parent or legal guardian before any tattoo service is carried out.

Brother Tip Tattoo & Art reserves the right to refuse any tattoo request that does not meet legal, health, safety, or studio requirements.

3. BOOKINGS & CONSULTATION FORMS

All clients are required to complete an online consultation or booking enquiry form before an appointment can be confirmed.

Submitting a consultation form does not guarantee a booking. Our team will review your enquiry and contact you regarding pricing, artist availability, and appointment options.

Appointment availability may vary depending on artist schedules and demand.

4. BOOKING FEES & DEPOSITS

A non-refundable booking fee is required to secure all tattoo appointments.

Booking fees:

• Secure your appointment date and artist time
• Cover design preparation and administrative work
• Are deducted from your final tattoo balance on the day of your appointment
• Are strictly non-refundable

Brother Tip Tattoo & Art often books weeks to months in advance. Booking fees protect the allocated appointment time and preparation completed by your artist.

5. RESCHEDULING & CANCELLATION POLICY

We require a minimum of 7 days notice for any appointment changes or reschedules.

If you cancel, reschedule, fail to attend your appointment, or arrive significantly late within 7 days of your booking:

• Your booking fee may be forfeited
• A new booking fee may be required to secure another appointment
• Future bookings may require full payment upfront

Repeated cancellations, no-shows, or failure to communicate may result in refusal of future bookings.

6. TATTOO DESIGNS & ARTWORK

Tattoo designs are custom created for each client.

Design previews may be sent before your appointment where applicable. Minor adjustments can be requested; however, major redesigns, style changes, or concept changes may require additional charges or rescheduling.

All artwork, tattoo designs, drawings, and concepts created by our artists remain the intellectual property of the artist and may not be copied, reproduced, altered, or tattooed elsewhere without permission.

7. TATTOO VOUCHERS

Brother Tip Tattoo & Art sells tattoo vouchers online through our website.

Tattoo vouchers:

• Are non-refundable
• Cannot be exchanged for cash
• Are transferable unless otherwise stated
• Must be presented at the appointment
• Must be used within 12 months from the date of purchase unless otherwise agreed

Lost, stolen, expired, or damaged vouchers may not be replaced.

Please purchase carefully as all voucher sales are final.

8. HEALTH, SAFETY & CLIENT RESPONSIBILITY

Clients are responsible for providing honest and accurate health information before being tattooed.

You must inform your artist of any relevant medical conditions, allergies, medications, pregnancy, skin conditions, or health concerns that may affect the tattoo process or healing.

We reserve the right to refuse tattoo services where we believe tattooing may be unsafe or unsuitable.

Clients must not attend appointments under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

9. NUMBING CREAM DISCLAIMER

Brother Tip Tattoo & Art does not manufacture, supply, or guarantee any numbing products used before or during tattoo appointments.

Any numbing cream or numbing product used is done entirely at the client's own discretion and risk.

Clients acknowledge that:

• We are not responsible for the ingredients, manufacturing, effectiveness, or safety of third-party numbing products
• Reactions and results may vary between individuals
• Numbing products may affect the tattooing process, skin texture, ink saturation, or healing outcomes
• Allergic reactions, irritation, or healing complications caused by numbing products are the responsibility of the client

Clients are encouraged to research products thoroughly, follow manufacturer instructions, and patch test prior to use.

Brother Tip Tattoo & Art reserves the right to refuse the use of certain numbing products during appointments where we believe they may negatively impact the tattoo process or client safety.

10. PAYMENTS

All prices listed are in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) unless otherwise stated.

We currently accept payment through:

• EFTPOS
• Cash
• Bank Transfer
• Afterpay
• Klarna
• Approved online payment providers

Remaining balances for tattoo appointments must be paid on the day of the appointment before or immediately upon completion unless otherwise agreed.

11. REFUND POLICY

Due to the custom and permanent nature of tattoo services:

• Booking fees are strictly non-refundable
• Completed tattoo services are non-refundable
• Change of mind does not qualify for refunds
• Tattoo vouchers are non-refundable

If you have concerns regarding your tattoo service, please contact us directly so we can review the situation fairly and professionally.

Nothing within these Terms & Conditions limits your rights under New Zealand consumer law.

12. HEALING & AFTERCARE

Tattoo healing varies between individuals and can be affected by lifestyle, skin type, medical conditions, aftercare, and environmental factors.

Clients are responsible for following all aftercare instructions provided by the studio or artist.

Brother Tip Tattoo & Art is not responsible for healing complications caused by failure to follow aftercare instructions, allergic reactions, sun exposure, picking, scratching, swimming, or other client-related factors after leaving the studio.

13. WEBSITE USE

All content displayed on this website, including logos, artwork, designs, written material, branding, and photography, remains the property of Brother Tip Tattoo & Art or the individual artist.

You may not reproduce, copy, distribute, or use any content without written permission.

You agree not to misuse the website or attempt unauthorised access to our systems.

14. PRIVACY

Any personal information submitted through our website, forms, or booking systems is used solely for communication, appointment management, and studio operations.

We do not intentionally share or sell personal information to third parties unless required by law.

Our website may use cookies or third-party systems to improve website functionality and user experience.

15. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Brother Tip Tattoo & Art is not liable for:

• Delays outside our control
• Allergic reactions or medical complications
• Healing outcomes
• Client dissatisfaction based on subjective preference
• Loss caused by incorrect information supplied by clients
• Technical website interruptions or booking system issues

Our liability, where required by law, is limited to the value of the service or voucher purchased.

16. CHANGES TO TERMS & CONDITIONS

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice.

Updated versions will be published on our website and take effect immediately upon publication.

17. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of New Zealand.

Any disputes arising in relation to our services, website, or agreements shall fall under the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
